This Spanish Colonial style home is situated in the Highland Park, Dallas area. It is architect Marc Appleton’s first work in Texas. Built in 2011 for a young family of five, the home is spacious with well-considered, custom details including- plaster wainscot and fireplace surround in the dining room to the locally designed lighting fixtures. Customized Zellij tiles, and hand turned Mosharabi wooden screens reveal Moroccan influences. A careful mix of modern and distinctive vintage furniture from Marrakech and Madrid were placed throughout the home.
