Willowood Residence

Dallas, TX

Completed in 1992, the Rose House is an award-winning project designed in collaboration with Pritzker Architecture Prize recipient, Antoine Predock. Located on a cul-de-sac, the house is entered through large carved limestone blocks, mirroring the limestone that lines the meandering Turtle Creek in Dallas. Emily Summers Design Associates traveled with the clients to Paris, New York and Los Angeles, hand selecting decorative arts as well as vintage and modern furniture. Signature pieces include the Warren McCarther dining chairs from the Chrysler Building boardroom and the Charles James sofa commissioned by Dominique DeMenil.

In 1999, the Rose House received the award for the best residential interior from Interior Design magazine.
